The “Seconde peau” series stems from a reflection arising from the evolution of my work on raw glass.
Once detached from its support, the paint forms a skin, free and independent.
It carries the whole message of its first intention.
Back on the same glass support, this skin finds itself confronted with a new environment.
A new message is then born from this moult, driven by the brushstrokes and the pools of colour, sources
of the marriage of two temporalities.
“No war they said” recounts the promises that humans struggle to keep. It mourns the suffering and
questions our attitudes, the energy we commit to our dreams and our intentions.
Above all, this painting implores the desire to share life together.

Description
Layered fragments of peeled paint in red, pink, white, yellow and green cover the glass surface,
scattered with splashes and drips. Across the centre, the words NO WAR THEY SAID are painted in blue
capital letters on two lines. The glossy surface shows the overlapping edges of the paint skins.
