I’ve decided to explore a new direction to complement my pictorial work with the graphics offered by the
Rorschach test.
The new Xuan paper I received this summer is gradually leading me to explore new avenues of work and
test new ways of working. The results are very interesting and bring me great satisfaction. The material
is enhanced, the lines are strengthened, more direct, brutal, and lively.
Description
A wide horizontal band of dense vertical strokes in black and violet, shot through with acid green and
touches of yellow, fills the centre of the sheet. Loose lines of blue, orange, red, pink and yellow loop
around it on beige, lightly speckled paper. A central vertical fold divides the composition into two
near-mirrored halves; the signature is at lower right.
